About Us

Coram Deo is commonly understood to mean: Christians living in the presence of, under the authority of, and to the honour and glory of God. Formed in 2024, Coram Deo Chamber Choir strives to do exactly that; sing to the honour and glory of God. The choir was formed by members from the Heritage Reformed Congregation of Jordan after requests for a smaller local choir were expressed. Members come from across the Golden Horseshoe and practice weekly in Smithville.

Our Director

Sarah DiMauro is an accomplished vocalist who has an honours degree in voice performance from Wilfrid Laurier University. After completing her degree, she participated in opera programs in Banff, AB and Sulmona, Italy and performed in various operas and concerts with Opera Ontario, the KW Symphony Orchestra, Guelph Symphony Orchestra, and the Canadian Orpheus Male Choir. While she enjoyed performing, Sarah felt led to pursue a career in education and be a wife and mother. While teaching at an all-girls school she discovered her passion for conducting and directing choirs. Sarah is now the grade 4 homeroom teacher at a classical Christian school where her daughters also attend. Today, Sarah seeks to use her gifts solely to make music that honours God. She is an active member of the music ministry at her church and has been blessed to work with the Awake to Praise choir as a guest conductor. Sarah looks forward to bringing the voices of Coram Deo choir together to glorify God through song.
